Nigel Bowes (Level 2 Hockey Coach): Started playing Hockey at Prices Grammar School in 1970 ,then as a club player at Fareham, Bishops Stortford and finally Portsmouth and Southsea .Coaching at club level from 1990, at club and later to County level having achieved my level 2 in 1999. Currently working Part time for Portsmouth Grammar school as Coach /Umpire for mainly Middle School teams
Steve Batchelor (Level 2 Hockey Coach). Steve is a former hockey player, who was a member of the gold medal winning British squad at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. Four years earlier, at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, he captured the bronze medal with his team. In 1980, shortly after leaving Millfield School, Steve made his international début for England as a 19-year-old. He went on to play 48 times for England winning silver medals in the 1986 World Cup, the 1987 European Cup and bronze in the 1991 European Cup, Paris. Steve, who played for Southgate, represented Great Britain 66 times. At the Seoul Olympics he played in all seven matches. Steve played international hockey for twelve years. He ended his career after the 1992 Summer Olympics.
Steves tennis-playing career started at Millfield School where he paired up with players such as Andrew Castle. Whilst at school he won the Under 16 Milburn Cup at Wimbledon (AELTC). After leaving he set up his own tennis coaching company and then in 1983 went on to play competitive tennis, training at the Cap DAgde tennis centre in France, before touring the tennis satellite circuit. Steve retired from competitive tennis after being selected for the Great Britain Hockey Team, but a few years later won the Burberry Classic, partnering Mansour Bahrami and beating John Lloyd and Roger Saul at The Hurlingham Tennis Club.

Tom Batchelor (Level 2 Hockey Coach): Tom played England U16 and England U18 before going to Durham University where he studied a Masters in Chemistry. Tom currently playes & coaches hockey at Southgate Hockey Club.

Megan Batchelor (Level 1 Hockey Coach). Plays for Bowdon Hockey Club Ladies 1s Outdoor and Indoor. Played England U16's & U18's. Currently studies at Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts on a Management Course.
